The present invention relates to a friction-transmission belt, which has a friction-transmission surface of which at least a part is able to come into contact with a pulley, and which is provided with a compressed rubber layer formed of a product obtained by vulcanizing a rubber composition containing a rubber component and short fibers, wherein a wax-containing lubricant is present on at least part of the friction-transmission surface.
