Abstract:
To provide a frictional engaging device capable of realizing smooth operation over a long period.
A multiple disc brake 11 being the frictional engaging device has a drive plate 31 and a driven plate 41 relatively making rotary motion around the axis and mutually frictionally engaging when pressed in the axial direction, a hub 66 and a trans-axle case 12 for respectively axially movably supporting the drive plate 31 and the driven plate 41, and a back plate 21 arranged on the opposite side of the driven plate 41 to the drive plate 31 in the axial direction. The back plate 21 includes a front part 22 contacting with the drive plate 31. Hardness of the front part 22 is set smaller than hardness of the driven plate 41.
