To provide a frictional resistance evaluation method of a printed image, capable of providing accurate and objective data by a simple work, with respect to the friction resistance of the printed image being one of characteristics required in printing paper.
The liquid droplet of the organic solvent with a high-boiling point contained in ink is formed on the surface to be printed of printing paper before printing and the change with the elapse of time of a contact angle, with respect to the liquid droplet on the printing paper is preliminarily measured. The contact angle of the liquid droplet, when the elapse time after the liquid droplet is formed is equal to the elapse time after printing of the printed image that is an evaluation target is calculated on reference to the measuring result, so that it is evaluated that the printing paper, having the lower contact angle of the liquid droplet has superior friction resistance (large critical weight).
