To provide a frictional resistance reduction method and a frictional resistance reduced ship, capable of obtaining a frictional resistance reduction effect, even in the case of a ship performing veering and turning repeatedly, and capable of downsizing a device and reducing energy consumption.
A frictional resistance reduced ship includes: a starboard side air jetting port 2R disposed in the starboard side surface part 11R of a ship bow part 11 and jetting air into water; a port side air jetting port 2L disposed to a port side surface 11L of the ship bow part 11 and jetting air into water; an air supply means 3 for supplying air to the starboard side air jetting port 2R and the port side air jetting port 2L; and a control means 4 for operating the air supply means 3 for jetting air from the starboard side air jetting port 2R in the counter-clockwise turning, and also for jetting air from the port side air jetting port 2L in the clockwise turning.
