Abstract:
PURPOSE: To permit the opening of a front panel at the upper front surface of the main body of a refrigerator simply by the forward and upward pivoting of the same.
CONSTITUTION: An arm unit 8, equipped with an arched and bent unit 9, is attached to a front panel 4 arranged at the upper front surface of a refrigerator main body 1, supporting pillars 3 are fixed to both corners of upper surface of the refrigerator main body 1 and the root of the arm 8 is engaged with the upper end rim of front surface wall 20 in the pillar 3. When the front panel 4 is pivoted forwardly upward about the engaging point of the arm 8, the arched and bent unit 9 is fitted into the hole 25 of the front surface wall 20 and the front panel 4 is retained in a condition that the same panel is opened.
