To provide a front wheel drive assist bicycle improving cornering performance and superior in convenience in use while having a driving part in a front wheel.
In this front wheel drive assist bicycle, a diameter of the front wheel is reduced more than a rear wheel for reducing inertia of the front wheel when arranging a motor-driven driving part in the front wheel, and manual driving force obtained by stepping on a pedal 7 rotates a crank 8, and the driving force is transmitted to a front sprocket 17 simultaneously with rotation of the crank 8. The rear wheel 6 is driven by a connecting belt, that is, a chain 9 connected to the front sprocket 17 and a rear sprocket. A motor internally stored in a disk-like casing 20 is driven by torque of the same size as the inputted manual driving force, and the front wheel 5 is rotated by driving force of the motor. Thus, the rear wheel 6 is driven by the manual driving force, and the front wheel 5 is driven by motor-driven driving force of the same size as the manual driving force.
