Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the image formation optical system which does not vary in image formation magnification in spite of focusing accompanying variation in object distance.
CONSTITUTION: This optical system is constituted by arraying an objective 21, relay lenses 22 and 23, and a focusing lens 24 which is movable in the optical axis direction for focusing; and the relay lenses 22 and 23 function to make the rear-side focus of the objective lens conjugate to the object-side point at a distance dx from the front principal point of the focusing lens 24, where dx is the distance from the rear principal point of the focusing lens 24 to an image formation point.
