Abstract:
To provide a fuel assembly having a mechanism of suppressing floating of the fuel assembly, namely, displacement in an upper direction of the fuel assembly during a normal operation, which is loaded on, for example, a low deceleration spectrum boiling water reactor.SOLUTION: A disclosed fuel assembly a top of which is supported with an upper grid plate, includes: a channel box having a square cylindrical shape; a fuel rod that is placed in the channel box; a spacer that supports the fuel rod; a tie rod for fixing the spacer; and an upper tie plate for fixing an upper portion of the tie rod. The fuel assembly has a floating prevention member that is fixed to the tie rod above the fuel rod inside the channel box for suppressing the fuel assembly from floating up.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
