To provide a packing for fuel cell which rectifies the weak point of a silicone rubber inferior in chemical resistance and low-extraction performance and in which incorporation work of packing has become unnecessary and sealing performance is improved to the utmost as the packing is arranged certainly at the prescribed position.
The packing for fuel cell is configured by laminating a silicone rubber layer formed by vulcanization bonded at the peripheral part of a separator and a protection layer coated on the surface of the silicone rubber layer. The forming method of the packing for fuel cell comprises a process in which a coating agent containing silicone rubber is coated on the peripheral part of the separator by a screen printing method and the silicone rubber layer is formed, a process in which this silicone rubber layer is vulcanized and vulcanization bonded at the peripheral part of the separator, and a process in which a coating agent containing rubber or resin is coated on the above silicone rubber layer by a screen printing method and a protection layer is coated.
