Title:
FUEL CELL POWER GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3257604
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To aim at miniaturization of a device and accomplishment of the high coefficient of utilization of fuel by lowering the partial pressure of steam supplied to a fuel cell and accelerating the reaction in the fuel cell through sharply reducing a steam quantity necessary for reforming.
CONSTITUTION: A first reforming gas 3, in which steam 2 is mixed in fuel gas 1, is reformed into the first anode gas 4 containing hydrogen through the first reforming device 20. Then, electricity is generated through the first fuel cell 21 from the first anode gas 4 and cathode gas 5 containing oxygen. Moreover, the second reforming, gas 7 in which gas 6 discharged from the first fuel cell 21 in mixed in the fuel gas 1, is reformed into the second anode gas 8 containing hydrogen by means of the second reforming device 22. And then, the electricity is generated from the second fuel cell 23 from the second anode gas 8 and cathode gas 5 containing oxygen. In this way, the steam quantity for deformation can be sharply reduced as the whole by utilizing the steam generated in the first fuel cell 21 to reform the second reforming device 22.
