Abstract:

To provide a fuel cell simulator capable of simulating the relation between the operation voltage and the power generation efficiency even to a fuel cell system of a several kW class, a fuel cell simulation method, a fuel cell simulation program, and a recording medium with the program recorded therein.

In the fuel cell system having an external reformer 4, an internal reformer 8, a solid oxide fuel cell 9, and a combustor 10, the total calorie Hkeep per unit time required for maintaining the temperature of the system and the total heat of chemical reaction Hreac per unit time in the system are calculated, and if Hkeep>Hreac, η(V)=w/(nE+Hkeep-Hreac), or if Hkeep≤Hreac, η(V)=w/(nE), and the fuel cell simulator to calculate the power generation efficiency η(V) at the operational voltage V is constituted, where w is the electric output, n is the mol number of the fuel charged in unit time, and E is the energy emitted from the fuel of 1 mol.
