Abstract:
To provide a fuel cell system in which corrosion prevention can be achieved easily and efficiently.SOLUTION: In a fuel cell system of an embodiment, a fuel cell body includes a fuel electrode to which a fuel gas is supplied from a fuel gas supply passage and from which fuel gas is discharged to a fuel gas discharge passage and an oxidant electrode to which an oxidant gas is supplied from an oxidant gas supply passage and from which the oxidant gas is discharged to an oxidant gas discharge passage, the fuel cell body being configured to perform a generating operation by a reaction between the fuel gas and the oxidant gas. A control unit is configured to control the generating operation. The fuel cell system includes: a fuel gas circulation passage one end of which is communicated with the fuel gas supply passage and the other end of which is communicated with the fuel gas discharge passage; and a degassing valve provided in the fuel gas circulation passage. When the control unit receives an operation stop command to stop the generating operation, the control unit closes the degassing valve, and when nitrogen concentration in the fuel electrode is less than a reference value, the control unit stops the generating operation after continuing the generating operation until the nitrogen concentration in the fuel electrode becomes the reference value or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
