Title:
Fuel cell
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP6144657
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make possible: to reliably repair a crack in an electrode catalyst layer in a simple and economical manner; and to ensure a desired power generation performance and endurance.SOLUTION: A fuel cell 10 comprises: an electrolyte membrane-electrode structure 12 having an anode electrode 20, a cathode electrode 22, and a solid polymer electrolyte film 18 held between the anode and cathode electrodes. The anode electrode 20 includes: a first electrode catalyst layer 20a; and a first paste coat layer 28a provided only on an outer peripheral portion of the first electrode catalyst layer by coating with a paste including an ion-exchange component. The cathode electrode 22 includes: a second electrode catalyst layer 22a; and a second paste coat layer 28b provided only on an outer peripheral portion of the second electrode catalyst layer by coating with a paste including an ion-exchange component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
