Title:
FUEL ELECTRODE OF SOLID ELECTROLYTIC ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3181206
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the fuel electrode of a solid electrolytic-electrochemical cell with high conductivity and high porosity by mixing NiO fine powder having the specified particle size and MgAl2O4 coarse powder having the specified particle size, attaching the mixture on a substrate tube, then drying.
SOLUTION: 20vol.% NiO/CSZ is used in a substrate tube 1, and the porosity after baking is 30% or more. A part, where film forming is not required, of the substrate tube 1 is masked. The substrate tube 1 is immersed in slurry comprising a mixture of 60vol.% of NiO fine powder having a particle size of 0.1-0.3μm and 40vol.% of MgAl2O4 coarse powder having a particle size of 4-6μm, then taken out, and dried at room temperature to form the film of a fuel electrode 2 on the substrate tube 1. The mixture of the fine powder and the coarse powder each having the specified particle size suppresses carbon deposition, and in addition retains high conductivity.
