To provide a fuel filler neck protection structure which can protect a fuel filler neck by low-cost construction without a substantial increase in car body weight.

Protection means 14 are arranged at a car body panel 10 and at either an edge 13a of an opening 13 or a part of the fuel filler neck 8 opposite the edge 13a of the opening. The car body panel 10 has the opening 13 to which the fuel filler neck 8 for supplying fuel to a fuel tank is inserted. Thus direct contact between the edge 13a and the fuel filler neck 8 is avoided.
