To provide a fuel filter reducing transmission of vibration and noise following the vibration with simple structure without causing an increase in the number of parts.
The fuel filter 30 is installed between a fuel pump 20 and a sub-tank 11. The fuel pump 20 is supported to a filter body 31 not only through an intake pipe part 42 of a connection part 40 but through fixing parts 50. Vibration generated by the operation of the fuel pump 20 is thereby transmitted to the filter body 31 via the connection part 40 and fixing parts 50. The filter body 31 has an outer peripheral layer part formed of nonwoven fabric, on the outside, and an inner peripheral layer part formed of filter paper, on the inside. To ensure desired filtering performance, the filter body 31 has sufficient thickness to absorb vibration generated in the fuel pump 20. Consequently, the vibration generated in the fuel pump 20 is absorbed by the filter body 31 via the connection part 40 and the fixing parts 50 without being transmitted to the sub-tank 11.
