Abstract:
To prevent discharge of white smoke even if an idling state lasts for a long time.
In this diesel engine, steps 101, 103, 104 are repeted as long as an idling state continues, and continuing time T gradually approaches a threshold value Xh. When the continuing time T of the idling state exceeds the threshold value Xh, (the step 104, Yes), rotational speed of an output shaft of the diesel engine is increased (step 105). A fuel amount injected into a combustion chamber is increased, so that the temperature in the combustion chamber is raised. It is thus possible to prevent generation of unburned HC.
