Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the secondary injection and initial injection of an engine by making a spool valve for expanding and contracting a back pressure chamber communicate a fuel supply passage with the back pressure chamber at a position for contracting the back pressure chamber, so as to shut down a fuel chamber, and communicating the fuel chamber and shutting down the back pressure chamber at a position for expanding the back pressure chamber.
SOLUTION: At the time of engine stopping a piezo-actuator 10 contracts, so that the pressure of a fuel pressure chamber 3, a back pressure chamber 8, and a differential pressure drops, and a needle valve 2 is pressed against the seat part 1a of a nozzle body 1 with a return spring 4. Under this condition, a fuel pump is driven, and when fuel pressure led to a fuel supply passage 31 rises, a spool valve 6 is kept at a position for contracting the back pressure chamber 8 with a return spring 15. The fuel supply passage 31 is made to communicate with the first fuel passage 32, and the communication with the second fuel passage 33 is shut down. Fuel pump delivery pressure is led to the back pressure chamber 8 to force the needle valve 2 in the valveclosing direction. It is thus possible to prevent the initial injection at the time of starting the engine.
