Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection device capable of attaining both reduction of an amount of NOx and a high thermal efficiency.SOLUTION: A fuel injection device 10 of the present invention is used at an internal combustion engine 1 having a cylinder head 16, a cylinder 15 and combustion chamber 12 defined by a piston crown surface 130 so as to cause at least one of an amount of NOx, Pmax or a thermal efficiency η to become a prescribed value. The fuel injection device 10 includes a fuel injection changing part 60. N is a natural number equal to or more than 2, the combustion chamber is virtually divided into the number of N of combustion regions 61 to 64 and a fuel injection method can be changed in response to each of the combustion regions. The fuel injection changing part 60 divides the combustion chamber 12 into the number of N of combustion regions to enable a calorie difference between each of the combustion regions to be eliminated and further enable an in-cylinder pressure P in the combustion chamber 12 to be precisely controlled. With this arrangement as above, it is possible to make the amount of NOx and the thermal efficiency η optimal. Accordingly, it is possible to attain both reduction of an amount of NOx and the high thermal efficiency.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
