Abstract:
To provide a fuel injection device capable of reducing the number of components.SOLUTION: A fuel injection device FI includes a nozzle needle 18, a control chamber 23, a nozzle cylinder 17, a large-diameter piston 5, a small-diameter piston 8, a control valve 9, and a direct-acting piston 15, the small-diameter piston 8 being arranged coaxially with the large-diameter piston 5. The control valve 9 shuts off the control chamber 23 from a low pressure chamber 101 when an actuator is in a contracting state, while communicating the control chamber 23 with the low pressure chamber 101 when the actuator 2 elongates. In the control chamber 23, high pressure fuel is filled for imparting a pressure in a valve closing direction to a nozzle needle 18. The direct-acting piston 15 is displaced independently of the nozzle needle 18 for transmitting the driving force of the actuator 2 via the hydraulic force of the control chamber 23 to the nozzle needle 18 to displace the nozzle needle in a valve opening direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
