Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain torque high in output by interposing a central combustion chamber between the pistons of opposite cylinders, also interposing an outside combustion chamber between slave pistons, thereby making each reciprocal movement a perfect elastic collision, enhance fuel consumption, and letting the device be so constituted as to make use of a bent mechanism.

CONSTITUTION: Pistons 3 (3a and 3b) capable of being reciprocated are fitted in while being faced to each other to piston guide holes provided while being faced to each other in the major axis direction at both the ends of an engine main body 1. The head section of each piston 3 is contracted in diameter, and a central combustion chamber in a three stepped shape is partitioned between both the pistons 3. Slave pistons 7a and 7b comprising an air intake chamber closure 6a extended, are fitted in the pistons 3 while being fixed at both the ends of the engine main body 1 wherein the closure is formed with an outside air intake chamber 5a feeding air to the central combustion chamber, so that combustion chambers 8a are partitioned at both of sides. Besides, opposite bent groove cylinders 9a and 9b are outwardly fitted over the engine main body 1, and piston pins are engaged with bent grooves 13a and 13b formed in the inner circumference of each bent groove cylinder, so that one revolution is designed to be made while two times of reciprocation are made by the piston 3.
