PURPOSE: To prevent poor rotation of a rotor by securing an oil film on a thrust washer front surface.
CONSTITUTION: The rotor 90 of a fuel injection pump 10 is rotatably inserted into a housing 11 so as to extend on the same axis as a driving shaft 70. A pulser 120 is fitted and fixed to the outer periphery of the collar part of the driving shaft 70, and a thrust washer 87 for receiving a thrust load is interposed between the collar part and the side wall 86 of a feed pump 80. Spiral grooves are formed on the front and back surfaces in the thrust washer 87, and fuel acting as lubricating oil is allowed to flow into respective grooves from the outer peripheral side openings of respective grooves as the driving shaft 70 is rotated, and the oil films formed on both front and rear surfaces are prevented from being moved outward from the spiral grooves.
