To mount a fuel injection valve to an upper side wall of an intake passage without being interfered by a back bone and to inject a fuel from the valve toward an intake port of a cylinder head, in a motorcycle in which the intake passage of the engine is arranged below the rearwardly downwardly inclined back bone of a vehicle body frame along it.
In the back bone type motorcycle, the intake passage 12 communicated with the intake port 11 of the cylinder head 9 is arranged below the back bone Ff of the vehicle body frame F along the back bone Ff. The fuel injection valve 30 is standingly provided on the upper side wall at a downstream area of the intake passage 12 such that at least an upper end of the valve 30 is positioned at a front side than a central point 32 of an outer curve in an intermediate bent part 14c of the back bone Ff.
