Abstract:

PURPOSE: To achieve the good start characteristic by making such that the fluid piston will continuously receive the actuating force in the lead angle direction while driven in the lag angle direction as the increase of the fluid pressure.

CONSTITUTION: Upon the open/close operation of a control valve 37 through a computor 31, the oil pressure is supplied accordingly into a pressure chamber 28. Consequently the piston 21 is made eccentric and the slider 19 will try to enlarge radially against the spring 32 through the function of an inclined face 21a and the inclined face 19a of the slider 19, but since the pin 20 is restricted by an eccentric cam 33a fitted on a hab 16, the cams 33a and 33b will rotate to determine the injection timing while providing the relative phase difference between a drive side rotary flange 10 and the hab 16 at the side to be driven. Under zero hydraulic pressure, the angular position of the cam shaft 3 at the side to be driven is set to produce the lead angle of αo, while when the hydraulic pressure is led in the using rotation region it is lagged from the initial setting αo thereby the injection timing corresponding to the operational condition is cahieved.
