Title:
FUEL PROPERTY DISCRIMINATING DEVICE AND FUEL INJECTION CONTROL DEVICE OF DIESEL ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3470413
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an accurate judgment of fuel properties and appropriate injection timing control based on the difference between actual and target positions of a timer piston while idling.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a fuel injection pump, which is composed of timer piston 101 for setting injection timing operated in response to pre-load fuel, and a timing control valve 102 for regulating the fuel pressure applied to the timer piston 101. It is also provided with a sensor 103, which detects the position of the timer piston 101, a target position setting means 104, which sets the target position of the timer piston 101 based on the engine operating condition, and a control means 104 which controls the timing control valve 102 so that the timer piston 101 may reach the target position. In addition, it is provided with a judging means 106, which judges fuel properties on the basis of the difference of the actual and the target positions of the timer piston 101 while idling.
