To provide a fuel reforming device capable of improving fuel economy in a practical level by changing physical properties of liquid fuel in a short period of time.
The fuel reforming device 10 comprises a casing 15 comprising a cylindrical outer tube 11 having both end surfaces 11a, 11b sealed and a cylindrical inner tube 14 inserted into the outer tube 11 from one end surface 11b, and a spherical glass composition 17 filled in a space between the outer tube 11 and the inner tube 14 and an inside of the inner tube 14 and reducing surface tension of liquid fuel. The glass composition 17 contains SiO2, R2O, (R is one or more kinds of elements selected from Li, Na and K), CaO, Al2O3, Fe2O3, MgO, B2O3, TiO2, and ZnO as major components. Both of Fe2O3 and MgO have a function reducing surface tension of liquid fuel, and it is preferable to contain 0.2-12 mass% of Fe2O3 and 1-10 mass% of MgO.
