To secure the opening property of a fuel injection valve by avoiding that, when an engine is started, a fuel pressure from the fuel tank side is applied to the fuel injection valve as the closing pressure of the fuel injection valve in the gas engine in which the opening property may be deteriorated due to the seizure of the fuel injection valve.

An electronic control unit 10 as the fuel supply control device of the gas engine is wired to the fuel injection valve 2 of the gas engine 4. During the start of the engine, as necessary, the control unit outputs a fuel injection valve drive current different from a regular one and controls the fuel injection valve to secure the opening property of the fuel injection valve. When the control for securing the opening property is performed, the opening of a fuel cut-off valve 2b disposed in a fuel feeding passage 9A for connecting a fuel tank 1 to a vaporizer 3 is delayed a predetermined time period after an ignition switch is turned on. At least during that delayed time period, the fuel pressure on the fuel tank 1 side is not added to the fuel injection valve as the closing pressure of the fuel injection valve.
