To remarkably reduce fuel vapor generated in a fuel tank which is flowed from a vapor pipe passage to a canistor side in a fuel supply device of an automobile for supplying the fuel in a fuel tank of the automobile to an engine side.
This type of fuel supply device for an automobile has the following. A fuel tank 11 houses volatile fuel. A fuel supply pipe passage 27 is arranged for supplying fuel F in the fuel tank 11 to the side of an engine. A fuel return pipe passage 31 is arranged for returning the fuel F that is not consumed on the engine side into the fuel tank 11. A vapor pipe passage 37 is arranged for introducing fuel vapor N evaporated in the fuel tank 11 to a canistor 35. In such a fuel supply device a cooling means 45 is arranged for cooling the fuel vapor N. A reservoir chamber 51 is arranged for storing the fuel vapor N cooled by the cooling means 45. A pump 69 is arranged for returning condensed fuel G separated in the reservoir chamber 51 into the fuel tank 11.
