PURPOSE: To obtain sufficient power of an engine, by providing a regulator, in which the setting concentration of exhaust smoke is adjusted for a prescribed time after release of an exhaust brake, and supplying a required quantity of fuel to the engine when the exhaust brake is released.
CONSTITUTION: A regulator 67, comprising a reference value correcting circuit 68, adjusting reference voltage, and an operating signal generator circuit 69, outputting an operating signal when an exhaust brake is released, is provided to a reference voltage generator 63, showing the setting concentration of exhaust smoke, in a control circuit 61. Switches SW1, SW2 are opened and the exhaust brake is released, then the operating signal generator circuit 69 outputs an operating signal for a prescribed time, while the reference value correcting cricuit 68 receives this signal to adjust reference voltage in such a manner as to increase the setting concentration of exhaust smoke for a prescribed time, further a maximum injection quantity controller 82 is operated to supply a required quantity of fuel to an engine, and sufficient power of the engine can be obtained when the exhaust brake is released.
