Title:
FUEL SUPPLY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61261653
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To limit discharge from a high-pressure pump to the minimum required and thereby reduce noise by having high-pressure fuel from a high-pressure pump stored in a high-pressure chamber equipped with a regulator under a specific level of pressure and supplying high, specific level pressure fuel to a fuel injection valve.

CONSTITUTION: A high-pressure pump 100 for pressurizing and discharging fuel supplied by a feed pump 11 through a low-pressure fuel channel 13 is installed, and high-pressure fuel from this pump 100 is force-feeded to a fuel injection valve 300 with its pressure maintained at a fixed level by means of a high-pressure chamber equipped with a regulator 200. The high-pressure pump is so constituted that it will pressurize the fuel within a pressurizing chamber 106 through reciprocating moves of a plunger 103 driven by the rotation of a cam 104 and then discharge it. The regulator 200 is on its part so constituted that pressure within the high-pressure chamber 205 will be maintained at a specified level by displacing a piston 204 through a diaphragm 207 in accordance with pressure within a pressure alteration chamber 209, while the pressure within the pressure alteration chamber is controlled with a pneumatic pressure control mechanism 500.
