Title:
FUEL TANK PRESSURE CONTROLLER FOR ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS56112323
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent air from being sucked into a fuel tank in which mixed fuel consisting of alcohol and gasoline is contained by providing an ON and OFF valve which closes when an ignition switch is off at a connection passage which connects the fuel tank to the air.

CONSTITUTION: The upper air layer of a fuel tank 1 which contains mixed fuel is connected to air cleaner 3 through a fuel vapor passage 4 which provides a canister 2 halfway and the fuel vapor passage 4 inserts a safety valve 5 which connects the inside of the tank 1 to air through a vent passage 6 when an abnormalities, such as clogging or ice condensation occurs. In this case, an ON and OFF valve 10 consisting of solenoid valves in also inserted in the fuel vapor passage 4. This ON and OFF valve 10 is connected to a battery through an ignition switch 11. When this switch is off, the ON and OFF valve 10 and the fuel vapor passage 4 are closed. This prevents the air from being sucked in the tank 1 and the mixed fuel of the tank 1 from being separated.
