CONSTITUTION: This washing machine is constituted of a dehydrating tank 7 separatable into an upper stage part and a lower stage part provided with a stirring blade 6, a washing tank 1 for externally covering the dehydrating tank 7, a lid switch 12 for detecting the opening and closing of a lid 11, a driving part 3 for vertically moving the lower stage part of the dehydrating tank 7 and a control part 13 for controlling the driving part 3 by the information of lid opening from the lid switch 12.
