To provide a compositing technique for improving the functions and characteristics of a transparent organic polymer material usable for various uses such as lens for glasses, contact lens, sports glasses and magnifying glass, lens of optical instruments such as microscope, camera, telescope and binoculars, optical communication parts such as optical connector and optical fiber, and ultraviolet protection fiber, etc., and free from the trouble of the lowering of impact resistance of an organic polymer material such as lens material in contrast with a lens surface-treated with a hard coat layer and troubles caused by the addition and kneading of an ultraviolet absorber.
Inorganic fine particles are introduced and dispersed in a swollen organic polymer material. Preferably, the functional transparent organic polymer material contains inorganic fine particles introduced and dispersed in an organic polymer material swollen by contacting with a high-pressure fluid.
