Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a functionally modified cholesterol esterase (ChE) without directly bonding a functional protein to the cholesterol esterase.
By using a chaperonin having specificity to the cholesterol esterase, the functionally modified ChE is produced by adding the functional protein to the cholesterol esterase. Concretely, by associating the cholesterol esterase with the chaperonin added to the functional protein, the functionally modified cholesterol esterase having a [cholesterol esterase-(chaperonin-functional protein)] structure is produced.
