PURPOSE: To sufficiently supply water to an artificial medium and furthermore to clean water stored in recessed parts for water retention and to feed water to the artificial medium by sucking up water stored in the recessed parts for water retention to their upper parts.
CONSTITUTION: Recessed parts 11a for water retention of a planting board 11 made of a foamed resin having the recessed parts 11a on the top are equipped with auxiliary members 12 for sucking up water to the upper parts of the recessed parts 11a for water retention. The top is provided with a vaporizing layer V. The auxiliary members are made of fibrous members, capillary members or porous members. The vaporizing layer is fibrous member- including nonwoven fabric, a porous member or their composite material. The vaporizing layer has antimicrobial action.
