Abstract:

To develop a method capable of quantitatively determining the existing abundance of fungi with high accuracy over a wide range of spectra, without being affected by unknown protease activity inhibitors, and the like, in a sample.

A kit and a method for detecting fungi are provided with one domain or a plurality of domains derived from a Z1 domain and/or a Z2 domain of a factor G -subunit Xln for horseshoe crabs of which the cysteine residues are substituted by other amino acids, and with recombinant proteins that are bondable to -1, 3-glucans.
