Abstract:
To provide a heating method of a furnace bottom suitable for quickly restarting a blast furnace whose operation has been shut down by using a burner installed at a tap hole of the blast furnace, and a method for restarting the blast furnace using the method.SOLUTION: In a heating method of a furnace bottom, the temperature of the furnace bottom is raised by blowing heating gas into the furnace from a burner installed at a tap hole of the furnace bottom of the blast furnace whose operation has been shut down. The heating method of a furnace bottom includes: a step of estimating the shape of a solidified layer grown in the furnace bottom during the shutdown; a step of estimating a mean thickness of the solidified layer between a tap hole and a tuyere immediately above the tap hole for a plurality of tap holes; and a step of heating the furnace bottom by installing a burner in a tap hole having the smallest estimated mean thickness or the second smallest estimated mean thickness in the case where there are three or more tap holes, and blowing heating gas from the burner into the furnace.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
