Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately provide a desired curve by controlling heating power for combining the axial direction zone of heating resistors arrayed in a direction parallel to the height of a glass plate and a transverse zone and accurately controlling heating conditions.

CONSTITUTION: This furnace installed on a curving frame for curving the glass plate 4 is provided with a heating equipment provided with a wall with the heating resistors. The heating resistors are divided into the axial direction zone 13 where they are arrayed in the direction parallel to the height of the glass plate 4 and the transverse directions 7-12 where they are arrayed in the direction vertical to the height of the glass plate 4. Then, the heating power for combining the optional axial direction zone 13 and transverse direction zones 7 and 12 is controlled mutually independent of the other combined heating power. By such a curving work furnace, heating constitution suited to a temperature profile to be supplied to the glass plate 4 is achieved.
