Abstract:
To provide a furnace top cover of reducing breakage such as cracking caused by expansion in a furnace top cover, and an induction furnace with the furnace top cover installed.SOLUTION: A furnace top cover 1 comprises a cover member 10 and an engagement part 2 in which at least a part is formed at the cover member 10, and which can be engaged with a furnace body 51 of an induction furnace 50. The cover member 10 comprises a tap hole recessed part 3 which can be fitted with a tap hole 52, a bottom face 5 as an installation face to a furnace top part 70, an outer circumferential wall 6 facing an inner circumferential face of the furnace body 51 in a built-in state to the furnace top part 70 and an inner circumferential wall 8 which forms an opening 7 to match the furnace top part 70. The engagement part 2 at least lies between the tap hole recessed part 3 and the bottom face 5. When the engagement part 2 is engaged with the furnace body 51, the relative movement of the furnace top cover 1 in a first direction is regulated with respect to the furnace body 51. When the engagement part 2 is separated from the furnace body 51, the furnace top cover 1 is separable from the furnace body 51 and can open the inside of the induction furnace 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
