Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce coefficient of thermal conductivity and cost of refractory bricks by utilizing fireclay bricks in which silicon carbide etc. having component particles oxidized at high temp. are contaminated as bricks composing the most inner part of furnace walls.

CONSTITUTION: Components such as SiC4 etc. generating was when they are decomposed at high temp. are contaminated into fireclay bricks with low porosity such as chamotte bricks 11' etc. as shape of particles or powder and at that time, components such as SiC etc. are enabled to have purity lower than 50%. These bricks 11' are used instead of refractory bricks 11. Thereby, when clinkers 2 adhere heavily to walls by gas generated from SiC contained in bricks, they fall down by their own weight and are easily separated even when they adhere thinly. Owing to low purity of SiC etc., coefficient of thermal conductivity of said bricks is not sodifferent particulary from that of chamotte bricks and tensile anchor tip temp. is quite same as prior one and cost of bricks is not so high.
