This furniture comprises first mobile bodies 12, 12' correspondingly to the sliding doors H1, H1' of a set of sliding doors. Second mobile bodies 16A, 16B disposed in a laterally separated position relation and movable in the longitudinal direction through rolling elements 16AR, 16BR relative to the corresponding first mobile bodies are disposed to move together with the first mobile bodies. Both second mobile bodies separated from each other in the lateral direction hold the corresponding one sliding door. Each second mobile body comprises vertically projected guide shafts JA, JB so as to move together with the second mobile bodies. Each guide shaft is engaged with a guide groove GM formed at the fixed position. While the guide shaft is guided by the guide groove, the sliding door is movably shifted in the longitudinal direction. The sliding door is opened and closed by the linear motion of the first mobile bodies and the second mobile bodies.
