Abstract:

To provide a fusion reduction type power generation system with little new energy loss, capable of generating power with high efficiency by utilizing high temperature of the fusion reduction of a metallic material at a solid electrolyte fuel cell.

The fusion reduction type power generation system is provided with a reduction equipment 1 having a preliminary reduction furnace 3 preliminarily reducing a metallic raw material, and a fusion reduction furnace 2 fusing and reducing the preliminarily reduced metallic raw material and turning it into fused metal; and a solid electrolyte fuel cell 10 having a fuel electrode and an air electrode sandwiching solid electrolyte, generating power by making the fuel gas supplied to the fuel electrode react with the oxidant gas supplied to the air electrode. Reductive exhaust gas 5 exhausted from the fusion reduction furnace is supplied to the fuel electrode as a fuel gas, and the reacted exhaust gas 5b, exhausted from the fuel electrode after reaction, is supplied to the preliminary reduction furnace 3. The system has a heat exchanger 16 which heats the air 6 as an oxidant gas to be supplied to the air electrode by the heat obtained when cooling the reductive exhaust gas 5 which is exhausted from the fusion reduction furnace 2 and supplied to the fuel electrode.
