Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fusion system of plural induction furnaces capable of maintain high degree of operability with loss expensive equipment.
SOLUTION: This system is for supplying power to plural induction furnaces 5A, 5B from one current inverter 2, and it has mode selecting switches 11-14 for selectively switching a fusion furnace to fuse a material and a holding furnace maintaining the fused state among the induction furnaces 5A, 5B, and the induction furnace 5A selected a the fusion furnace is connected to the first output terminal of the inverter 2 via a first capacitor 10 and the induction furnaces 5B selected as the holding furnace is also connected to it via thyristors 7 connected oppositely parallel with each other. A second capacitor 15 serving as a power-factor improving capacitor is connected in parallel with the induction furnaces between the first and second output terminals of the inverter 2.
