Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gain variable device that smoothly changes in an audible sense with a logarithmic change characteristic by preventing malfunctions due to arithmetic errors caused by the length of a definite word, which adopting a calculation method suitable for realization in a digital signal processor.
SOLUTION: In deciding a corresponding step to each volume when a coefficient multiplication step value and a desired step value differ from each other, a coefficient update processing section 111 discriminates the relation of quantity and sets a prescribed step revision value and a coefficient revision value. The step revision value is added to the multiplication step value, and a coefficient revision value is multiplied with a multiplicative coefficient value for updating the respective values. Furthermore, a predetermined multiplication coefficient is used in common.
