The peripheral surface of the push button 16 is provided with a U-shaped support body 64 in a projecting manner, and the support body 64 is provided with a plate-shaped operation piece 65 for operating a switch 25. Three faces of the peripheral surface at the base of the operation piece 65 are configured to be flush with or continue to the outer peripheral surface of a bridge portion 64b to prevent generation of level difference between the base of the operation piece 65 and the outer peripheral edge of the bridge portion 64b. Accordingly, the push button device 25 has improved durability, such as a reduction in load such as shearing force on the base of the operation piece 65, or prevention of breakage of the operation piece 65 even if pushed many times, compared with a conventional structure.
