Abstract:

To provide a game system and an information storage medium which can increase the diversity and reality of the texture of planes of an object.

An α value (transparency) is set to a value corresponding to the angle θ formed between a 1st vector from a point on a plane of the object OB to a viewpoint and a normal vector. Here, the α is so set that the OB is more opaque or transparent as the angle θ is closer to 90°. The α value corresponding to the mentioned angle θ between the 1st vector from the vertex to the viewpoint and the normal vector of the vertex is set for the vertex of the OB. While a blending using the set α value is carried out, a ground object where a ground texture is mapped and a down object where a down texture is mapped are rendered one over the other. Drawing data obtained by performing geometry processing for the object data of the ground object are not erased, but stored, and the stored drawing data after the geometry processing are reused as drawing data for the down object.
