Abstract:
PURPOSE:To automatically perform control operation for imaging while securing the safety of an examinee, by mounting a contact sensing mechanism for detecting pressing force along the inner surface of a dome and a contact position confirming means for discriminating a region where detection output is generated. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that external stress is applied to the contact sensing mechanism 4 mounted to the inner surface of a dome 3 by a bed 6. At this time, a conductive wire Y1 receives transmitted external stress to bend and, when this bending position is the crossing position with a conductive wire X1, the conductive wires Y1, X1 become a continuity state due to the coupling thereof by the compressive deformation of a spacer 43. Whereupon, the judge circuit incorporated in a contact position confirming apparatus 5 judges that the continuity part is the crossing position of the conductive wires Y1, X1 to send the judge data to a control computer. Contact structures are systematically arranged so as separated into respective parts before and behind the dome 3 so as to perform said position judge over the entire region of the inner surface of the dome 3 to constitute the contact sensing mechanism 4. Therefore, the control operation of a gantry can be performed while the safety of an examinee is secured.
