PURPOSE: To protect a motor and a screw from unexpected overload by providing the reversal switch of the motor rotating the screw.

CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical garbage receiving container 3 is equipped with the garbage charge port 2 provided to the bottom part of a sink 1. A feed pipe 5 rises upwardly from the bottom part of the container 3 at a predetermined angle and a garbage taking-in port 5a is provided to the lower end of the feed pipe 5 and a garbage discharge port 5b is formed to the upper end thereof. The screw 6 inserted in the pipe 5 is rotated by a drive means 7 and, further, the drain pipe discharging the waste water in the container 3 communicates with the bottom part of the container 3. The drive means 7 is composed of a reversible rotary type motor and a reversal switch 31 temporarily reversing the motor is provided. As a result, the motor and the screw can be protected from unexpected overload.
