PURPOSE: To secure such a garbage disposal device that thermally seals a dust container after opening the door, insomuch that one hand will not get thereinto, at a time when dust is discharged to the container and it has come to the specified volume.
CONSTITUTION: A screw 6 being driven by a motor 7 processes dust thrown from a garbage input port 2 in a conveyer pipe 5, discharging unto a garbage container 8. A magnet 20 is attached to the upper part of a door 13a of a garbage container chamber 13, and in opposition to this magnet, each of magnetic proximity switches 21, 22 is attached to the door 13a at a smaller interval than hand's thickness in the opening or closing direction. In addition, this door 13a is energized in the closing direction by a spring 19, and if it is opened against the energizing force, the magnet 20 separates from the magnetic proximity switch 21, thus it is made so as to be engaged at a position to be opposed to the magnetic proximity switch 22. When the garbage container 8 is bulged and opens the door 13a up to this position, the switch 21 stops the motor 7, operating a thermal sealing means 10.
