To provide a garbage disposer capable of finely pulverizing various types of garbage into a proper size to be passed together with wastewater through a bottle of a wastewater discharge port by manual handle operation or rotating operation of an electric motor and capable of preventing malodor or filthy water generation owing to rotten garbage.

The garbage disposer comprises a cylindrical water-permeating container 2 having a plurality of water passing holes 3, 4 in the side wall and the bottom face, a perforated plate 7 having a plurality of holes 8, 9 formed on the upper end face of the water- permeating container 2, a rotary shaft 10 and a joint shaft 13 penetrating the center of the perforated plate dish 7 and supported the lower end thereof in the center of the bottom wall of the water-permeating container, a plurality of rotary blades 12 installed vertically on the rotary shaft 10 and in the vicinity of the bottom part 2a of the water-permeating container 2 with gaps from one another, a handle 15, which is a driving part to rotate the rotary shaft 10, installed at the upper end position of the rotary shaft 10. Garbage thrown through the performed plate 7 into the water-permeating container 2 is pulverized by rotary blades 12 rotating by the rotation of the rotary shaft 10 between the inner face of the water- permeating container 2 and the rotary blades 12 to a size small enough to discharge the pulverized garbage out of the water passing holes 3, 4 of the water-permeating container 2.
